Deputy Fire Marshals find blasting caps during a search.
Hagerstown, Md (KM) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says a Pennsylvania man was arrested for threatening to blow up a business in Hagerstown. Blake William Durboraw, 47, of Greencastle was taken into custody on Monday. He is charged with threat to explode a structure and possessing explosives without a license.
Authorities say they were contacted on Monday at 12:00 noon by Roger Craig, the owner of Craig Paving. He said he received a threat to blow up his business at 118 Hump Road in Hagerstown.
Investigators were able to identify Durboraw as the suspect. They say he threatened to blow up the business because he was upset his mother was going to sell her property at 136 Hump Road to Craig Paving.
A search was conducted his mother’s home, where 28 blasting caps were found in the garage. Due to their age, and unknown stability, the Fire Marshal’s Office says an emergency disposal was conducted by the Bomb Squad. The blasting caps were disposed of safely.
Durboraw was transported without incident to the Washington County Detention Center. .
