WV Man Charged With Double Homicide In Montgomery County

He was arrested on Monday.

 

Rockville, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police have charged a Martinsburg, West Virginia man for a double homicide last month. Gregory Terrell Jones, 24, was arrested on Monday and charged with two counts of 1st-degree murder.

Police say the victims, Ashley Susan Dickinson, 34, of Alexandria, Virginia, and Joshua Michael Frazier, 29, of Woodbridge, Virginia were found by resident on Thursday, February 15th just before 10:00 PM in a car parked on Aldora Circle in Burtonsville with the motor running. Investigators say they had gunshot wounds.

Officers say the two were pronouned dead at the scene. Their bodies were taken to the State Medical Examiner, who ruled the deaths as homicide by gunshot wounds.

They were able to identify Gregory Jones, and his cousin, Tyshon Jones, 25, of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, as the suspects. Detectives say Frazsier had traveled to Aldora Circle that evening to collect money that Gregory Jones owed him from a previous heroin transaction.

Police say Tyshon Jones was shot and killed on February 17th at the Coco Loco nightclub in Berkeley County, West Virginia. The victim’s handgun was recovered from the scene. During that incident, a second person fired a handgun at the scene, and fled. That shooter was identified as Gregory Jones.

An examination of the shell casings recovered from the nightclub matched those found at the murder scene in Burtonsville determined they both came from the same gun.  .

Jones is being held without bond.

Montgomery County Police say they were assisted in their investigation by the West Virginia State Police, The Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives, the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, the Martinsburg, Police Department and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
