Woman Arrested For Making Threat To Blow Up Building

She was released on personal recognizance.

 

Hagertown, Md (KM) A Silver Spring woman is charged with verbally threatening to blow up a building in Hagerstown. Kimberly Elouis Tapp, 31, was arrested Friday morning at the Montgomery County Circuit Court by a deputy fire marshal with the assistance of the local Sheriff’s Office.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says on March 5th, Tapp had called Brook Lane Health Services at 13121 Brook Lane in Hagesrtown, to ask for information about her son whose a patent at that facility. A nurse said Brook Lane was unable to supply that information. Tapp then became irate and made terroristic threats, according to authorities. She is alleged to have said she was going to blow up the place, at times using foul language.

The Fire Marshal’s Office says int the past, Tapp made threats to her son’s school, at times threatening to kill or injure school staff, and officials there were afraid she might come to the school with a weapon.

After she was taken into custody, Tapp was transported to Washington County Central Booking.. She was released on her own recognizance.
