Suspect In Burglary Shot During A Struggle

He was treated & released, and then charged.

 

Shepherdstown, WV. (KM) An Inwood, West Virginia man is charged with burglary and wanton endangerment with a firearm. Harold Marsh, 48, was arrested early Wednesday morning in Shepardstown.

At around 3:30 AM, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies, and officers from the Shepardstown and Shepard University Police Departments responded to University Heights apartments on Hansel Drive in Shepherdstown for a burglary. While en route, they were told that the suspect was armed and a shot was fired.

When they arrived, authorities found Marsh with a gunshot wound to the arm. They say he was armed with multiple weapons when he broke into an apartment where his  ex-girlfriend was located.  . A struggle ensued between Marsh and the residents. One round was fired, hitting Marsh in the arm. He was treated and released at a local hospital, and then taken to the Eastern Regional Jail.
