Man In Critical Condition After Crash In New Windsor

The man was partially ejected through the passenger-side window.


New Windsor, Md. (DG) – A 54-year-old man is in critical condition after a single-vehicle accident in New Windsor on Saturday afternoon.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Offcie is reporting emergency crews responded to the area of Sams Creek Road and Hoke Road at around 2:30 PM and found a 2002 Silver Nissan Altima had collided with a tree.

Police say the driver was a New Windsor man and had been partially ejected through the passenger-side window.

Investigators say the vehicle was traveling north on Sams Creek Road when it failed to negotiate a left-hand turn in the roadway. The car struck a tree on the eastbound shoulder.

The victim was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he remained in critical condition with life-threatening injuries on Saturday night.
