Frederick, MD (KK) – The Frederick County Division of Animal Control is investigating a complaint of animal neglect in Rocky Ridge. Tuesday, Animal Control was dispatched to the 14,400 block of Old Frederick Road to help the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office. The owner handed over a dozen horses and they were taken to Days End Farm Horse Rescue.
“They’re getting vet care and they’re getting good nutrition and they’ll have their follow up checkups done there. At this point, from an Animal Control perspective, we’re still investigating so it’s an open and ongoing investigation,” said Linda Shea, Animal Control Division Director.
Shea says more information will be made public as the investigation continues. No one has been charged.
