Driver Killed In One-Vehicle Crash On I-70

A passenger was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

 

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) A Hagerstown woman was killed Wednesday evening in a vehicle crash along Interstate 70 in Washington County.

State Police say Tattum Lynn Havens, 18, was driving a Hyundai Sonata on eastbound on I-70 west of Sharpsburg Pike when the vehicle went off the left shoulder and into the median. The car flipped over several times on the grassy median and came to rest on the right shoulder of westbound I-70.

Havens was trapped in her vehicle and had to be removed. She was taken to Meritus Medical Center where she died.

A passenger in the car, identified as Michael Andrew Jordan,19, also of Hagerstown, was taken to Meritus Medical Center for an evaluation.

State Police say the crash is still under investigation, and anyone who witnessed this accident is asked to contact the Hagesrtown Barrack. They can call Master Trooper Leggett or TFC Fogle at 301-766-3800.
