Police Charge Suspect In M&T Bank Robbery

But they are still investigating a second robbery in Frederick On Wed.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have arrested a suspect in the robbery of the M&T Bank at 26 North Court Street Wednesday afternoon. Nicholas Alan Cahill-Lane is charged with robbery, theft under $1,000 and making a false statement about an explosive device.

Officers were dispatched shortly after 12:00 noon to the bank for a robbery. They say the suspect entered the bank and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt, and no weapons were displayed.

Police say with the help of the community and witnesses, a detective was able to positively identify Cahill-Lane as the suspect in this robbery.

Meanwhile, police continue to investigate a second bank robbery on Wednesday. Officers were dispatched to the Capital One Bank at 1305 West 7th Street, and learned the a suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was hurt, and no weapon was displayed.
