April 28th

This Saturday, there is an incredible event that will directly benefit a terminally ill son of local Police Officer. The team behind local Frederick non-profit, “Little D on the Monocacy” will be hosting the fifth annual kayak and canoe race on the historic Monocacy River.

 

May 5th & May 6th

Next weekend, The Catoctin Furnace Historical Society is hosting the 7th Annual Spring in the Village, Art at the Furnace. The event is on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sunday from noon to 5 pm. They will feature period music, living history programs, craft and artisan demonstrations, children’s activities, food trucks, local wine and craft beer and a special visit from Harriet Tubman!

 

May 6th

Join the Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Company Auxiliary for a fundraiser next Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm! There will be 3 LuLaRoe Consultants and a Color Street Consultant on location!

 

May 11th

The 8th Annual Relentless Golf Classic benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is on Friday, May 11th at The Links at Challedon! Registration is at 7:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 8:30 a.m. There will be food, drinks and prizes for the 4 closest to the pins, the 2 closest drives, the 1st and 2nd place teams and door prizes for all golfers!

 

May 12th

The local non-profit Community Living is hosting a Spring Brunch Bingo on Saturday, May 12th! The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Orioles Nest in Frederick. The Green Neighbor Festival, a free festival to promote green living, is on Saturday, May 12th in Frederick! There will be a sustainability bike ride, a collection of special recyclables, live acoustic music, activities, food trucks, an environmental movie showing and over 30 green vendors!

 

May 13th

The New Market District Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an All You Can Eat Country Breakfast on Sunday, May 13th! The breakfast will be held from 7 a.m. to noon at the fire house.
