There is an enhanced threat for fires to spread
Frederick, Md. (DG) – The Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office has issued a total ban on outdoor burning until further notice.
All outdoor burning, including recreational fires, is prohibited.
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has classified today as very high for forest fire danger. Low moisture, low relative humidity, and gusty winds may contribute to the enhanced spread of fires.
