Hampstead, Md (KM) A joint operation by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office’s Repeat Offenders Proactive Enforcement (ROPE) Unit, and the Hampstead Police on Tuesday resulted in the arrest of one man on drug offenses.. Eric Franklin Collins, 36, of Hampstead, is charged with use of firearms in drug trafficking, distribution of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute drugs, possession of drugs (not marijuana), possession of 10 grams or more of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute narcotics. .
Authorities say Collins was arrested following a traffic stop. They found multiple baggies of cocaine and a loaded firearm after searching Collins’ vehicle. .
Deputies and officers also served a search and seizure warrant on Collins’ home in the 1400 block of North Main Street in Hampstead, and found several weapons, marijuana, THC oil and some unknown prescription pills.
Collins is being held without bail at the Carroll County Detention Center. .
