Frederick, MD (KK) – More than $62 million is up for grabs in unclaimed property. It’s money and possessions that banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions were unable to return to the owners. Comptroller Peter Franchot says he can help.
“We take an active, aggressive in advertising and promoting the unclaimed property,” said Franchot.
The Comptroller has released a 192 page insert that will be released in some newspapers. The Comptroller’s Office also has a booth at the Maryland State Fair and other events throughout the year.
