Investigation Underway Into Exploding Toilet At C&O Canal

There were no injuries.

 

Sharpsburg, Md (KM) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office’s Bomb Squad was called to the C&O Canal in Sharpsburg on Monday. Authorities says individuals set off firecrackers in a portable toilet near Lock 38, causing about $500 in damage to the interior.

No one was hurt.

The damage to the toilet was discovered by employees. The Fire Marshal’s Office was dispatched to the scene to do a post blast investigation,  which including the examination  of  the evidence..
