Frederick Man Charged After His Car Collides With A Police Cruiser

The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick Police Officer suffered non-life threatening injuries following a vehicle crash Tuesday night.

Authorities say at  around 9:31 PM,  Acting Sergeant Duane Ertter was on patrol when his marked police cruiser was struck head-on by another vehicle in the area of Baughmans Lane and Rosemont Avenue. The driver of the striking vehicle ran away, but was apprehended behind a nearby residence.

Reginald Snowden, 32, of Frederick is charged with 1st- and 2nd-degree assault, fleeing and eluding and having an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.

Snowden and Ertter were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
