* Flash Flood Warning for…
West central Frederick County in north central Maryland…

* Until 1100 PM EDT.

* At 756 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the area. Up to one inch of rain has already
fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include…
Frederick, Harry Grove Stadium, Ballenger Creek, Braddock Heights,
Linganore-Bartonsville, Jefferson, Burkittsville, Bolivar,
Arnoldtown and Middletown In Frederick Md.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southeastern Washington County in north central Maryland…
Northwestern Montgomery County in central Maryland…
Southern Frederick County in north central Maryland…
Northern Loudoun County in northern Virginia…

* Until 845 PM EDT.

* At 753 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms with a history of producing
large hail were located along a line extending from near Harpers
Ferry to Green Valley, moving south at 5 mph.

HAZARD…Quarter to golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated. Golf ball size hail was reported in
Frederick.

IMPACT…Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. Hail is
large enough to dent and damage vehicles. Some hail
damage to roofs, siding, and windows is possible.

* Locations impacted include…
Germantown, Frederick, Olney, Damascus, Poolesville, Harry Grove
Stadium, Montgomery Village, Ballenger Creek, Mount Airy,
Purcellville, Brunswick, Braddock Heights, New Market, Round Hill,
Green Valley, Clover Hill, Discovery-Spring Garden, Boyds, Point Of
Rocks and Linganore-Bartonsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Get indoors to protect yourself from wind and lightning. Trees around
you may be downed from damaging winds, so if you are near large
trees, move to an interior room on the lowest floor. Don`t drive
underneath trees or in wooded areas until the threat has passed.
