Maryland State Police Rescue Hiker in Montgomery County
Dickerson, Md (CY)- A hiker on Sugarloaf Mountain in Montgomery County was rescued by a Maryland State Police Helicopter crew Monday afternoon.
Police say the hiker was found on a rock at 12-hundred feet above sea level around 3pm. A trooper was lowered 80 feet to the hiker. The trooper stabilized the hiker and both were lifted into the helicopter.
The hiker was flown to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
