It’s taking place on Saturday, August 25th.
FREDERICK, MD. (LG) A local non-profit organization that began in 1992 to help a close friend make her mortgage payment because she was too sick to work, has become a successful program reaching out to help others in the same situation in the Frederick community.
Debbie Williams remembers that friend, Patty Pollatos, and how they were able to raise 20-thousand dollars in 30 days to honor Patty’s wishes so she could die with dignity.
Each year, the Patty Pollatos Fund celebrates their fundraising by holding their annual ‘Family Fundraiser Funomenon’ at the Frederick Fairgrounds.
Debbie said this year they have an exciting concert line up.
“It’s always the 4th Saturday in August. This year it’s Saturday, August 25th. Our acts are going to be Joe Diffie and Michael Ray. I’m using Joe Diffie for the older crowd and he is just an absolute legend,” Williams said. ” Michael Ray is to bait in the younger crowd. My granddaughter Sierra just loves him,” she continued.
The day will be full of events including music, a kids land with moon bounces, dance teams, food, and much more.
