Flash Flood Watch In Effect Until 10 PM Thursday

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of north central Maryland, Virginia, and West
  Virginia, including the following areas, in north central
  Maryland, Frederick MD and Washington. In Virginia, Clarke,
  Culpeper, Frederick VA, Madison, Northern Fauquier, Northern
  Virginia Blue Ridge, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham,
  Shenandoah, Warren, and Western Loudoun. In West Virginia,
  Berkeley, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, and Morgan.

* Until 10 PM EDT this evening

* Numerous showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy
  rainfall will develop through the afternoon and evening. The
  heaviest showers and storms can produce one to three inches of
  rainfall in a short amount of time on already saturated ground.

* Rapid rises of creeks and streams will be possible due to
  torrential rainfall, potentially spilling beyond their banks.
  Flash flooding may develop quickly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
