Gaithersburg, MD (KK) – Vending machines give us candy, snacks, drinks… and now cars. A new car vending machine is opening up soon off Shady Grove Road in Gaithersburg. The company Carvana is behind the eight story glass tower that holds 30 cars.
“The vending machine experience is really a way for us to provide a fun way to get your car. It’s an experience that has fun visual elements but also is easy just like our online car buying process,” said Amy O’Hara, associate director of communications for Carvana.
O’Hara says there is a seven day window for returns. If there are customers outside of the area who want to experience the vending machine, Carvana will subsidize up to $200 in airfare and will arrange transportation from Dulles International Airport.
