Multi-Match Winning Ticket Sold In Frederick

It’s worth $700,000.

Baltimore, Md (KM). There’s a Multi-Match Lottery jackpot winner out there. The Maryland Lottery says the winning ticket worth $700,000 was sold on Thursday, June 7th at the Festival Major Liquor Store at 446 Prospect Boulevard in Frederick.

The winning numbers are 5, 11, 22,25, 30 and 41. Anyone who recently purchased a Multi-Match ticket needs to sign it immediately, and bring to Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore during regular business hours. “They either choose between the estimated  $700,000 annuity, or an estimated $350,000 cash option, and that’s before taxes,” says Carole Gentry, a spokeswoman for the Maryland Lottery.

The winner has 182 days to claim his or her cash prize. Gentry says that person will be welcomed when coming to the Lottery headquarters. “We love our winners. We really do,” she says. “So when they come in, we really do clap and cheer for them, and we love to hear their stories. And we hear some amazing stories from people, and some of them are very inspirational and some of them are very funny. We love our winners.”

In addition to the winners, the merchant who sold the winning lottery ticket receives a cash reward. “That lucky retailer is going to receive a $1,000 bonus for that,” says Gentry. “And also a lot of free publicity. And people will come in. Sometimes people think that that is a lucky retailer and they’ll get more people coming in to see if they could be the next one to win.”

A Multi-Match ticket costs $2.00. “Players receive one line of six numbers that they can select themselves. And then they receive two additional lines of six numbers each that are randomly generated. The Lottery draws six number of 1 to 43. And this person who won the jackpot, they had to match all six numbers on any one line,” says Gentry.

Maryland Lottery drawings take place on Mondays and Thursdays at 11:22 PM on WBAL-TV (Channel 11).
