County Government Offices To Close On Wed., July 4th, Independence Day

They will reopen the next day at their regularly scheduled hours.

 

 

Frederick, Md. (KM) Frederick County Government offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day Holiday. That includes:

*Animal Control: call 301-600-1546 for more information, or go to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/animalcontrol.

* Board of Elections and Department of Social Services. For more information from the Board of Elections, call 301-600-VOTE  (8683), or go on line to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/elections. For more information from DSS, call 301-600-4555, or visit the agency’s website at www.dhs.maryland.gov

* All divisions of the Health Department will be closed. For additional information, call 301-600-1029, or go on line to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/healthdepartment.

* The Landfill’s administrative offices will be closed along with the Reichs Ford Road Recycling Center. There will be no curbside recycling pick up that day, and all collections will shift a day later for the rest of the week. Citizens who have questions can call 301-600-2960, or go on line to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/recycling.

* Frederick County Public Libraries are closed on July 4th. For more information, call 301-600-1630, or visit the website at www.fcpl.org.

County officials say there will be no Transit services and  MARC Train 204, 505 and 515 will not be operating on July 14th. Bus service is also canceled. For more information, call TransIT at 301-600-2065., Or visit the website at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/TransT)

All offices will reopen on Thursday, July 5th  at their regularly scheduled hours.
