Car Chase From Baltimore Ends in Frederick

The suspect was eventually stopped at the Exxon on Jefferson Street in taken into custody.


Frederick, Md (DG) – There were some tense moments in Frederick County this morning as police were chasing a wanted person on Interstate 70.

According to scanner reports, Baltimore County Police started chasing a red Hyundai on interstate 70 westbound at around 9:30 AM with a wanted person inside.

The driver of the Hyundai traveled into Frederick, exited I-70 at Buckeystown Pike, and headed in towards the downtown area.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and Frederick City Police both joined in the chase. Stop sticks were placed at East Street and South Street. After the suspect drove over them, the tires on the left side of the vehicle were flattened.

The suspect was eventually stopped at the Exxon on Jefferson Street in taken into custody.
