Slow Down for Construction Workers When Traveling This 4th

Frederick, MD (KK) – With a record-breaking number of people set to travel over the holiday, state transportation officials are putting out a warning to drivers. The Maryland State Highway Administration will suspend lane closures because of ongoing construction projects between Tuesday and Thursday. This summer, the SHA is working on 400 projects across the state.

Frank Burdinski with RJO Services was in his truck on Maryland 83 when he was hit by a driver going about 60 miles an hour.

“Just be cautious. Slow down. That’s our office on the road. Most people have an office indoors somewhere, and we’d just like everybody to be able to go home and enjoy their families and the holiday,” said Burdinski.
