A Midsummer Night’s Dream: Masquerade for Maddie and Emma

Mount Airy Fairgrounds- Flag Raising
The town of Mount Airy will be raising a huge American flag with a crane at 10 a.m. at the Fairgrounds. The event will be held prior to their firework show on July 3rd that draws over 10,000 spectators.

Wednesday, July 4th
WFMD @ Party In The Park
Make sure to join 930 WFMD & Younger Nissan this 4th of July in Baker Park to celebrate and give appreciation to our veterans. The first 50 veterans to stop by will receive a golf towel, water bottle and lottery tickets from the Maryland Lottery. WFMD will have a photo booth that benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County with the Tour de Frederick. Most importantly, make sure you cool off in our misting arch!
Shepherdstown’s Annual 4th of July Community Picnic
The event will feature music from two popular local groups, The Speakeasy Boys and the Gypsy Ramblers. The picnic is free and will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Morgan’s Grove Park pavilion, right after the town’s annual parade.

33rd Annual “Salute To Independence”
The Maryland Symphony Orchestra is presenting the 33rd Annual “Salute To Independence” concert. The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg. The concert is free to the public and will honor our veterans and celebrate America’s Independence. It is recognized as Washington County’s largest one-day tourism event, attracting nearly 30,000 people from all over and is capped off by a spectacular fireworks display, one of the largest in the region!
Thursday, July 12th
Noel K. Lester Summer Chamber Music Festival – Leonard Bernstein Centennial Celebration
This music festival at Hood College features five concerts in June in July that are free and open to the public. The next concert is a Leonard Bernstein Centennial Celebration with four singers and piano preceded by the donors’ dinner with live Jazz entertainment on Thursday, July 12th.
