33rd Annual “Salute To Independence”

The Maryland Symphony Orchestra is presenting the 33rd Annual “Salute To Independence” concert. The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg. The concert is free to the public and will honor our veterans and celebrate America’s Independence. It is recognized as Washington County’s largest one-day tourism event, attracting nearly 30,000 people from all over and is capped off by a spectacular fireworks display, one of the largest in the region!

First Saturday

First Saturday in Downtown Frederick means all day activities, late-night shopping and dining, live music on the street, and a free trolley to guide your way!

 

Thursday, July 12th

Noel K. Lester Summer Chamber Music Festival – Leonard Bernstein Centennial Celebration 

This music festival at Hood College features five concerts in June in July that are free and open to the public. The next concert is a Leonard Bernstein Centennial Celebration with four singers and piano preceded by the donors’ dinner with live Jazz entertainment on Thursday, July 12th. Each concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Brodbeck Music Hall. Movie Night on the Creek

Head to the Carroll Creek Amphitheater for a free outdoor movie screening of Jaws. Gates open at 8 p.m. and beer, wine & snacks will be available for purchase.

Summer Reggae Wine Festival

Mark your calendars for The Summer Reggae Wine Festival at Linganore Winecellars.  Enjoy the day listening to live bands, sampling delicious wines, and shopping in the open air market for hand-crafted and imported goods from around the world.

 

 Sunday, July 22nd

1st Annual Cruise for Kidz

The 1st Annual Cruise for Kidz to benefit Children’s National will be held at Family Recreation in Boonsboro. This car, truck & motorcycle show is from noon to 5 p.m. and welcomes all makes and models. The registration fee is $12.00 and you must be registered by 2 p.m. the day-of the show. There will be live music, a silent auction and the first 50 guests will receive a Dash Plaque.
