Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man has been charged with having sex with a 15-year-old girl. Jose Domingo Ayala-Portillo, 24, was arrested on Thursday after the victim’s grandmother contacted police.
Officers say they were working in the community of Hope Circle and Pennsylvania Avenue on Thursday morning when they were approached by the older relative. She said she believed Ayala-Portillo had intercourse with the girl. Detective were able to gather evidence supporting that claim, and to get the suspect to return to the scene.
Ayala-Portillo was arrested when he arrived at around 9:45 PM on Thursday. He’s charged with one count of third-degree sex offense. Police say additional charges could be filed pending a review by the State’s Attorney’s Office.
