Couple Charged With Child Pornography Offenses Denied Bail

Police uncovered evidence at their apartment late last year.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick couple charged with child pornography offenses has been denied bail. The State’s Attorney’s Office says Peter and Jennifer Giove of Carlton Place were arrested and charged with child abuse, manufacturing child pornography and other offenses.

Acting on several tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Frederick Police searched the Giove’s apartment in November of last year, and found downloaded images of child pornography. The State’s Attorney’s Office says both defendants are believed to have participated in the production of child pornography with a two-year-old.

Judge Janice Ambrose on Wednesday denied bail for Gioves.  Probable cause hearings are  expected to take place in District Court later this month.
