Major water leak causes advisory
Thurmont, Md. (CY) – Thurmont officials are telling certain residents to boil their water due to a water leak.
All residents in the following areas are encouraged to boil water prior to drinking, cooking, making ice, or preparing baby food. Tap water should be boiled for at least one minute after water reaches a rolling boil.
Areas affected: Eyler Road, Emmitsburg Road, N. Church Street north of Boundary Ave., Catoctin Heights, Flanagan Rd., Allen and Stull Dr., W. Main Street from Rt. 15 to Tippin Drive.
Residents should continue this practice until further notice.
