It Was A Busy Morning for a Frederick County Grand Jury

Many people were indicted.

FREDERICK, MD.  (LG)   A Frederick county man from Jefferson was one of many who was indicted Friday morning by a Grand Jury.  States Attorney Charles Smith said Zachasias Russell is facing sex offense charges against a minor.  “These are sad cases.  We hate to hear about these,” said Smith.

“Basically, officers were notified that a 14 year old may have been a victim of sexual solicitation.  They obviously interviewed the victim over at our Child Advocacy Center, which is an outstanding Child Advocacy Center, and the young person advised that it met a defendant through an online mobile app on several occasions, and they engaged in sexual activity.”

Also indicted:

Paul Joseph Paige, Jr., of Keymar, Maryland.  He’s charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Robert O. Bottenfield, of Gaithersburg, Md.  He facing 2 counts of armed robbery charges, which occurred on separate dates.

Jason Allen Klosterman, of Taneytown, Md.  He’s facing felony drug offenses, to include possession of heroin and cocaine.

James Anthbony Damatt, III, of Frederick, Md.  Charges include felony possession of a weapon, as well as drug offenses.

Zachasias Demetrius Russell, of Jefferson, Md. is charged with sexual solicitation of a minor, 3 counts of 3rd degree sex offense, and attempted 3rd degree sex offense.

Richarge George Rhone, of Frederick, Md. is charged with child pornography offenses.
