Frederick, MD (KK) – A Walkersville man is recovering in the hospital after jumping off the American Legion Bridge Sunday morning.
Just before 6 a.m., 43-year-old Toray Guider hit the guardrail and his car overturned in the first two lanes of the Capital Beltway. An off duty firefighter stopped to help. Moments later, a car hit Guider’s vehicle which then hit the firefighter’s vehicle. First responders found Guider about 50 feet below the American Legion Bridge in a grassy area. Police believe Guider jumped off the American Legion Bridge to avoid the second accident.
All three people were taken to the hospital. Guider is in stable condition.
