Three others were taken to Meritus Medical Center.

Rohrersville, Md (KM) A 17-year-old youth from Keedyville was flown out to Shock Trauma in Baltimore following a two-vehicle crash in Rohrersville Thursday morning.

State Police in Washington County responded to Route 67 (Rohrersville Road) and Main Street shortly before 8:00 AM. Troopers say the youth was operating a Jeep Cherokee along Main Street, and was attempting to make a left turn at Route 67 when his vehicle was struck by a GMC Sierra.

Authorities say the 17-year-old failed to yield right of way and pulled into the path of the Sierra.

The operator of the Sierra, Atif Safi, 38, of Hagerstown, was traveling southbound on Route 67, and had a four-year-old passenger in his vehicle at the time of the collision. Safi, the four-year-old from Hagesrtown, and a 15-year-old from Keedysville, who was a passenger in the Cherokee, were taken to Meritus Medical Center by ambulance for treatment.

State Police say that area of Route 67 and Main Street was closed for two-hours while troopers conducted their investigation, and the removal of the two vehicles.
