One person suffered a hand injury.
Taneytown, Md (KM) It took 12-minutes for 50 fire fighters to control the flames from barn fire early Friday morning in Taneytown.
The call went out just at 7:27 AM to 4866 Harney Road for a wood frame barn on fire. The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says damage to the structure is $40,000, and the contents is $40,000 for a total of $80,000.
One man sustained burns to his hands, but refused treatment from medics on the scene.
Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office say the fire originated in the interior of the barn. The cause remains under investigation.
