High water causes multiple road closures in Washington County
HAGERSTOWN, MD (September 10, 2018) – The Washington County Division of Emergency Services and Washington County Highway Department announce the following road closures due to high water:
Pecktonville Rd. at the steel bridge
Independence Rd. from 40 to FOP
Kemps Mill Rd.
W. Memorial St. at the underpass by city shed
Dellinger Rd.
Battletown Rd. between Leitersburg and Strite
Lehmans Mill Rd.
Leiters Mill Rd.
Clopper Rd./Old Forge Rd.
Ashton Rd./Gruber Rd.
Wishard Rd. between Fairview Rd./Cearfoss Pk.
Cresspond Rd. between Rockdale Rd. and Broadfording Rd.
The County encourages all citizens to remain off the roads listed above. Citizens are also advised to refrain from driving through standing water.
