Recovery operations wrapped up Monday evening.
Frederick, Md (KM).. State Police in Frederick County say a section of northbound Interstate 270 was reopened Monday night following a tractor trailer accident. The crash Monday morning closed part of northbound Interstate 270 in Frederick County through the evening rush hour.
Troopers say at around 10:25 AM, the big rig ran off the roadway near I-270 over Doctor Perry Road. The vehicle went over a guardrail, down an embankment and came to rest in a small creek.
Troopers say the driver was not hurt, but recovery operations for the truck took several hours..
Motorists were diverted from northbound I-270 at Route 121 and then to Route 355. Authorities say one northbound lane on I-270 near the crash site remained open, but there were intermittent closures to move equipment.
