Frederick, Md (KM) Sophomores and juniors attending Frederick County public high schools have the opportunity to apply for the position of student representative on the Board of Education for the 2019–2020 academic year.. This person will provide a student viewpoint on issues facing the School Board.
Any student whose interested should apply by 4:00 PM on Friday, November 2nd.
Interested students should contact their student government advisor for a nomination packet, or go on line to http://www.fcps.org/boe/Student-Board-Member-Election. Student government advisors and principals can also nominate a student to serve on the Board of Education.
The School System says the person chosen will represent the diversity of the students’ points of view, improve communications between the student body, the FCPS staff and Board of Ed members, and inform students of policies and decisions made by the School Board.
