Two DC Residents Injured In Crash In Washington County
Their vehicle was struck by a dump truck.
Hagerstown, Md (KM) Two Washington DC residents were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Washington County Monday afternoon.
State Police say Tyrae Tamea Janifer, the driver, and Dajun Micheal Jones, a passenger, were in a Mazda3 which failed to yield the right of way when crossing over Roxbury Road.. Their vehicle was struck on the driver-side door panel by a dump truck.
Janifer suffered injuries to her face, and Jones was also hurt. Both were transported to Mertius Medical Center.
The operator of the dump truck identified as Jeffery Michael Poffenberger of Sharpsburg was not injured.
The Maryland State Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division was called to the scene to inspect the dump truck.
