Urbana, Md (KM) One person was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 270 near Urbana.
State Police say troopers were dispatched at around 10:37 AM to I-270 near Fingerboard Road for the crash They learned a tractor trailer was stopped in lane two due to heavy traffic. A small SUV failed to stop and rear-ended the big rig.
Authorities say the SUV sustained major damage. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Southbound I-270 remained closed for a few hours while troopers conducted their investigation.
