NResidents can bring up to five boxes of documents to be shredded for free.
Thurmont, Md (KM) A Community Shredding Event will take place next Saturday, November 3rd at the Thurmont Police Department at 800 East Main Street.
ALL SHRED, Incorporated, will provide a truck between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, giving each resident in Thurmont and surrounding areas an opportunity to bring five boxes of documents to be shredded. Citizens can also bring along non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Thurmont Food Bank.
The Thurmont Police and Woodsboro Bank are both sponsoring this event.
Residents are urged to take advantage of this free service and have sensitive documents shredded as a way to avoid identity theft .
