Frederick Police Charge Local Man With Drug Offenses

He was arrested on Wed. after large quantities of drugs were found in his home.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A long list of drug charges have been filed against a Frederick man who was arrested on Wednesday. Wayne Augustus Chase IV, 23, was taken into custody without incident.

Frederick Police say officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, along with the Sheriff’s Office and State Police, served a search and seizure warrant Wednesday morning on Chase’s home in the 400 block Carrollton Drive, and confiscated 189 grams of marijuana and more than 25 grams of cocaine.

Chase was apprehended later that morning. He was taken to a District Court Commissioner where he was ordered held without bond.

He’s charged with:

(2 Counts) Possession (Cocaine)

(2 Counts) Possession (Marijuana 10+ Grams)

(2 Counts) Possession With Intent To Distribute (Cocaine)

(2 Counts) Possession With Intent To Distribute (Marijuana)

(2 Counts) Possesion With Intent To Distribute in School Zone

(1 Count) Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Crack Cocaine)

(1 Count) Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in School Zone

Frederick Police say an investigation began in earlier this month after a detective observed Chase distribute a large quantity of crack cocaine to another individual.
