Police Investigating Germantown Homicide

Authorities say the suspect killed himself.

 

 

Germantown, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police continue to investigate a homicide in Germantown where the individual developed as a suspect fatally shot himself.

Authorities say on Tuesday evening, officers located Valentino Pritchett, 18, of Germantown, who traveling in a vehicle along Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road in Germantown.

A traffic stop was initiated. As police approached the vehicle to arrest Pritchett, he shot himself. Officers administered first aid, and fire and rescue were dispatched.  But Pritchett was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Pritchett had been developed as a suspect in the fatal shooting of Stephan Alexander Frazier, 20, of Germantown.

Shortly after 12:30 AM on Tuesday, Montgomery County Police 5th District officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to the 12,900 block of Churchill Ridge Road for a shooting. They located Frazier who was suffering from a gunshot outside of that address.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was died from his injuries.
