Police Vehicle Struck in Hit & Run Accident

Deputy not injured


Woodbine, Md. (DG) – The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is looking the person responsible for hitting a police vehicle on October 25, 2018.

According to police, shortly before 8 PM, a Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped their marked patrol vehicle in the 6200 block of Woodbine Road for an injured deer.

The patrol vehicle’s emergency lights were activated. While the deputy was outside their vehicle, a mini van traveling southbound hit the patrol car on the driver’s side. The vehicle’s driver did not stop and continued south on Woodbine Road.

The striking vehicle is described as a dark colored mini-van and should have front end damage. The deputy was not injured. The patrol vehicle is no longer drivable.
