‘Cops On The Roof’ Fundraiser Brings In Money For Special Olympics Maryland

It raised  more than last year.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick Police says the “Cops on the Roof” fundraiser did very well this year. The Department says it raised $3,489 for Special Olympics Maryland which surpasses last year’s amount of $3300.. .

Between October 19th and the 20th, from 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM,  there were officers on the rooftop of the Dunkin Donuts at 1296 West Patrick Street to encourages patrons and other residents to make a donation to Special Olympics Maryland, which provides sports training and competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Special Olympics Maryland has provided thousands of sports experiences annually for athletes statewide and offers 24 sports, all at no cost to their athletes and their families.
