Some Frederick County Offices To Be Closed On Election Day

All MVA offices will be closed that day.

 

Frederick, Md (KM)  Frederick County government offices will be closed on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6th. But there are a few exceptions.

Animal Control will be open from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM for the showing and adoption of animals, and the Board of Elections at 340A Montevue Lane will be open from7:00 AM until 8:00  For more information, call 301-600-1546, or visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/animalcontrol.

There will be curbside recycling, and the recycling center at the Landfill will be open from 7:00 AM until 4:30 PM. All administrative offices will be closed.  CItizens can call 301-600-2960 for more information, or go on line to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/recycling.

The public libraries and the Department of Social Services will be open on Election Day. All TransIT services will operate on their regular schedules, but all offices will be closed.

The county government offices that will be closed on Election Day will reopen at their regularly scheduled time on Wednesday, November 7th.

The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration will be closed on Election Day, and on Monday, November 12th, the day Veterans Day is observed. That includes all Vehicle Emissions Inspection Stations, but VEIP kiosks will be open on both days.
