Experts can give tips and advice on how to prepare your turkey.
FREDERICK, MD. (LG) Thanksgiving is almost here, and with that said, Butterball Turkey Talk-Line experts are now available to give cooks some tips and advice on how to prepare your turkey.
“Roasting a 10 to 18 pound turkey can take about 3 to 3 and 1/2 hours to cook, depending on the size and if you should decide to stuff the turkey,” said Sue Smith, co-director BTTL. “So an average size turkey is between 16 and 17 pounds. So we offer a range, anywhere between ten and 18 pounds. If it’s not stuffed, you’re looking at between three and three and a half hours. Now if you do stuff your turkey, it’s going to take longer, so you are looking at between 3 and a half to 4 hours for it to cook.”
You can chat with a Turkey Talk -Line expert and receive Thanksgiving advice from the most basic cooking questions to even the more advanced. “There are several ways to get in contact with us. You can text 844-877-3456 for instant expert advice. You can also call us at 1-800-288-8372.”
