Police Charge Suspect In Armed Robbery At Motel 6

He was arrested a short time later.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A suspect has been arrested for an armed robbery on Thursday at the Motel Six at 999  West Patrick Street in Frederick. Michael Lee Fink, 36, who has no fixed address, is charged with armed robbery, reckless endangerment, theft and 2nd-degree assault.

Police say they were called to the motel at around 12:24 PM and made contact with the victim. He told officers that Fink, whom he met earlier in the day, robbed him with a knife, forcibly removing his money from his person. The victim gave police a description of Fink, and the direction that he fled after the robbery.. Officers canvassed the area.

A short time later, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Market Street to assist the fire department. Realizing that Fink was the subject of the call, they brought the victim to the scene. He positively identified Fink as the suspect.

Fink was was arrested and taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for an unrelated condition, and then to the Adult Detention Center for processing.
