A woman was killed after being struck by a motor vehicle.
Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police are continuing their investigation of a fatal pedestrian accident in Gaithersburg Tuesday morning.
Authorities says Li Zhang, 52, of North Potomac was crossing South Summit Avenue near Wells Avenue when was struck by a Nissan Rogue.
Fire and rescue personnel and police responded to that area at around 6:45 AM, but Zhang died at the scene.
The Nissan Rogue left the scene, but returned a short time later. The driver is identified as Abiidemi Etabuno D Utah, 29, of Gaithersburg. She was not hurt in the crash.
Investigators are asking anyone who has information on this collision to contact Montgomery County Police. They can call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
