An occupant who was thrown from the vehicle has died.
Rockville, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police continue their investigation of a fatal crash near Laytonsville on Sunday, November 18th which killed a Gaithersburg man.
Oscar Eduardo Rivas-Macal, 23, was a passenger in a Chevrolet Cobalt which was traveling southbound along Muncaster Mill Road and Beechdale Court. Officers say the Cobalt left the roadway, hit an embankment and overturned. Rivas-Macal was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he died on Friday, November 23rd. .
The operator of the Cobalt, Mario Antonio Jandres- Rivera, 24, of Germantown, was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, authorities say.
Police say a dark colored Ford Mustang may have been involved in this crash, and investigators want to speak with its driver.
