Fire Damages Home In Adamstown

The  occupant is displaced.

 

 

Adamstown, Md (KM) One person was displaced following a house fire in Adamstown Wednesday morning.

Fire fighters were dispatched to the 2200 block of Park Mills Road at around 7:25 AM, and saw fire showing from the rear of the single family home. Fire and Rescue officials say it took 40-fire fighters 30-minutes to bring the flames under control. No one was injured.

The County Fire Marshal’s Office says the cause of the fire was accidental, originating in the kitchen. Damage is estimated at $100,000 to the structure, and $25,000 to the contents.

Fire officials say only one person lived in the house, but was not home at the time of the blaze.
