The defendant is charged with a double homicide in Frederick County last year.

Frederick, Md (KM) Jury selection is expected to wrap up on Tuesday in the trial of Delajhi Joyner. The trial began on Monday for the New York City man, 25, who was arrested last year on two counts of first-degree murder.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says Joyner got into an argument on Acacia Court just outside of Frederick in early November, 2017, and beat Shondre Naylor and Jermaine Hill. Authorities say Joyner ran over the two with a car, killing them. Both victims are from Frederick.
Joyner has pleaded not guilty.
After jury selection is completed, the State and Joyner’s attorneys will begin opening statements.
