Frederick, Md (KM) A former Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputy is one of eight people indicted on Friday by the Grand Jury. Kevin Bahram Zarrin–Kelkye, 27, of Thurmont, is charged by the panel with 1st-degree rape and three counts of 2nd-degree rape. He was arrested last month for sexually assaulting a woman in his home. He has denied the charges.
Also indicted were four people arrested in November for being part of a drug trafficking operation in Frederick County:
Gustavo Ledesma Resendez, 31, of Frederick, is charged with possession intent to distribute cocaine on school property, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia (digital scales).
Agustin Tovar Campos, 23, Keymar, Md., is charged with possession of a large amount of cocaine, conspiracy to possess a large amount of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, conspiracy to possess with to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, and making a false statement to a police officer.
Javier Tovar Campos, 38, Frederick, is charged with possession of a large amount of cocaine, conspiracy to possess a large amount of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute a large amount of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine.
Angel Rodriguez Jimenez, 28, of Keymar, Md., is charged with possession of a large amount of cocaine, conspiracy to possess a large amount of cocaine, distribution of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine.
All four were charged for offenses which occurred on November 29th, 2018. That’s when search and seizure warrants were served on three locations in Frederick County. During that time, police confiscated illegal drugs, a handgun, vehicles used in drug trafficking and a large amount of cash.
Other indictments on Friday include:
*Gabriel Buckman-Brookshire, 20, of Thurmont, Md, and Austin Lee Frushour, 21, of Thurmont. Both are charged with 1st-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit 1st-degree burglary, theft between $1500 and $25,000, burglary of a dwelling and malicious destruction of property in excess of $1,000, for an incident which occurred on October 24th, 2018.
*Keshon Rylo Cornish, 19,of Hyattsville, Md. has been indicted for two different offense. For an incident on October 13th, 2018. Cornish is charged with 1st-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit 1st-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit 2nd-degree burglary, theft between $1500 and $25,000 and conspiracy to commit theft between $1500 to $25,000. For an incident which occurred on October 15th, 2018. Cornish was indicted for 1st-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit 1st-degree burglary, theft between $1500 to $25,000, and conspiracy to commit theft between $1500 and $25,000.
These indictments move those cases to Circuit Court where trial dates will be set.
Also, indictments are not findings of guilt, and all suspects are presumed innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
